Brima St. Francis, Champlain Valley Regional High School
Brima’s mother recalls, “when Brima started skating as a toddler she would not participate in her group lessons. She sat on the bench with her skates laced up unsure if getting on the ice was a good idea. Today Brima would agree that participating in those first lessons were a wise decision!”
We are so happy that Brima did take the leap and join those lessons. She became a leader in the Champlain Valley Skating Club, Vermont Children’s Theater on Ice, and served as a solid role model for the Champlain Valley Regional High School Team. Her calm, assertive, encouraging, and caring presence has been seen and she is looked fondly on by all of us.
Her High School skating teammates describe her as: caring, kind, responsible, nice, and encouraging. She made it a point to attend High School Competitions and her dedication to the team was visible and appreciated.
Next year Brima will be traveling to Costa Rica to volunteer with Corners of Love providing relief to refuges from Nicaragua.
We see a bright future for Brima, we are rooting for you on and off the ice! We will miss you!
